MODULE 02
Flatness vs. Projection

The purpose of Module 02 is to transfer two elevations into a 3D model. The two pictures above are the elevations provided to me.

The first problem that I noticed after finishing the axonometric projection is that elements are randomly located, so I decided to give them a subject to emphasise the contrast and organise the elements.

So I developed the main part of my Mario World which is the slope structures at the back, which is an extension of the axonometric projection of World NO.6.
The inspiration for this design comes from a particular water-saving irrigation system located in the Turpan Depression in China which has many wells connected by underground channels.
In Mario World, I used horizontal pipes to express channels, and the vertical pipes represent wells. these pipes are all connected to the Largest pipe.

All of the pipes on the ground are connected to build a network of pipelines which is a hidden tie between the disordered elements.
The slope at the front was also divided into many parts to echo the main structure at the back.
In addition, another interesting part is the cactus which has been cut down, and I put a pipe inside the cactus. Moreover, some coins are placed around it for decoration.
As for the background, it is considered in axonometric projection. I think it’s more suitable for this Mario World.
